We warmly welcome all our guests to the closing weekend of Jubitábor. Whether parents, alumni scouts, friends of scouts, Hungarian speakers, or non-Hungarians, your presence is a blessing. The Guest Camp provides a window into camp life and an opportunity to participate firsthand.
The Guest Camp opens at 3 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024, and closes at noon on August 4. Interactive programs include music, campfires, and camp tours. On the closing night, more than 1,000 scouts and guests will celebrate Jubitábor with an exciting, spectacular event and dinner.
GUEST CAMP DATES & TIME:
Gates open: Friday, August 2, at 3 PM
Camp closes: Sunday, August 4, at 12 noon

REGISTRATION
ALL arriving guests (parents, visitors, friends, relatives, alumni, campers) must register in advance. Registration is required for admission to the Scout park. (Registration is CLOSED.)
IMPORTANT – Dogs in the guest camp or scout park are strictly prohibited! Any guest arriving with a dog will be directed to a local dog kennel (Basswood Kennels) before check-in and admittance.

Friday:
15:00: Guest Camp opening/registration
15:00-17:00 Scout Historical Museum open
19:00: Guest Camp dinner
20:30: Live music (Fészer band)
21:30: Guest Camp campfire
Saturday:
08:00: Guest Camp Breakfast
09:00: “Csárda” opens (snacks, soft drinks, coffee, etc.)
10:00-12:00: Visit/Tour Central Parade Ground and Scout age-group camps
** Scout Historical Museum is open from 09:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 17:00 **
13:00: Guest Camp Lunch
17:00-19:00: Grand Celebration and Dinner (All Scouts and Guest Campers)
20:00: Final Campfire (All Scouts and Guest Campers)
Sunday:
08:00: Guest Camp Breakfast
10:00: Catholic and Protestant Services
11:00: Breaking Camp
12:00: Camp Closes
ACCOMMODATION OPPORTUNITIES
- Guest Camp: Tent camping in the Guest Camp section of the scout park (bring your own tent)
- Hotel and Motel options are available in the area
- RV, Camper, and Trailer camping – We recommend EVERGREEN TRAILS
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate RVs, Campers, Camper Trailers, or Pop-ups in the Guest Camp area; these vehicles will be directed to nearby campground sites. Also, sleeping in cars in the Parking Lot is not permitted.
GUEST TYPE and CAMP ADMISSION COST
Overnight Camping in the Guest Camp:
- Guest (Alumni Scouts, Friends): $45 per night per person, All-Inclusive *
OR
- Parent (of Jamboree Scout): $25 per night per person, All-Inclusive *
- Children 10 and under are free.
ALL-INCLUSIVE:
* All Overnight Campers are automatically All-Inclusive
* Reservation in Guest Campsite (own tent)
* Friday Dinner, three meals on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday (Important! Unfortunately, we are unable to prepare separate meals for guests with dietary restrictions or food allergies.)
* Includes Saturday Grand Celebration Dinner with all Scouts and Guests
* Welcome Gift
Non-Camping Guests (staying in accommodations outside of guest camp):
- A) Guest or Parent: $15 per day includes all meals, including Saturday Grand Celebration Dinner with all Scouts and Guests
Non-camping guests may opt out of the meals and be admitted without charge; however, they cannot dine at the Saturday Grand Celebration Dinner.
Payment is no longer accepted since registration is closed.
ARRIVAL AT THE GUEST CAMP:
- Check-In begins Friday, August 2 at 3 PM; Saturday, August, 3 at 9 AM.

- Short Tract Road entrance, watch for directional signs. P6 on the park map.
- Registration and unloading of gear at Short Tract Road entrance
- Parking in the P7 parking lot marked on the map
- Guest Camp Scout Ambassadors will help carry your gear to campsite
- Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate RVs, Campers, Camper Trailers, or Pop-ups in the Guest Camp area; these types of vehicles will be directed to nearby campground sites. Also, sleeping in cars in the Parking Lot is not permitted.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Dogs are strictly prohibited in the guest camp or scout park! Any guest arriving with a dog will be directed to a local dog kennel before check-in and admittance: Basswood Kennels
- Sík Sándor Scout Park is a primitive campsite with toilet facilities, standard water taps, and tent-only camping (no cabins).
- Important! We are unable to prepare separate meals for guests with dietary restrictions or food allergies.
- We reserve the right to withdraw our hospitality in the case of loud noise and behavior that disturbs the sleep or peace of other campers. Such disruptions will result in removal from the park no matter the time of day or night.
